A while back ago I posted a thread about becoming a dad. It's now official! Kaiden Gage was born 08/31/2011 at 06:22am. He measured 19 inches long and weighed 6 lbs & 2 oz!
My wife spent over 18 hours in labor and pushed for 59 minutes to get him here! We were blessed with a healthy little...
I've seen parades, done poker runs and ridden with lots of small groups of bikes, but yesterday was my first time participating in a Memorial Run.
Not only was it for a fabulous cause, but the simplest little experience made an impression that will last a lifetime and keep me coming back for...
My wife is due in September and we are having boy! I am excited and terrified all at the same time. It's going to be such a huge change in our lives, but I can hardly wait! We've been busy preparing so I haven't had much time to spend on the FZ1. I did manage to squeeze in an overnight trip...
but Mother Nature has been kind and gave us Ohioans a 65 degree day in late November (the 22nd!). I didnt have plans to ride again this year, but I couldn't resist. I drug my riding gear out of the closet, wheeled the bike out of the garage and enjoyed 40 miles of country highways. I saw only...
Found this on another motorcycle forum and thought some of the forum members here would find it entertaining and useful.
Motorcycle Ergonomics Simulator
It has images of bikes with a stick figure overlay to give an impression of riding positions. There are some inputs adjustments to...
Now that I have your attention again
Here is a link to a short video clip of the IXIL cans on her Ninja 650R at idle and banging off of the rev limiter. They have a removeable noise baffle, but we don't intend to remove the baffles (don't want to upset our neighbors).
The...
Sunday 10/10/10, who else road today? (video added)
So who else got out today and if so, where did you ride and what other bikes did you ride with? :shine:
Gorgeous Ohio weather had us modify our Sunday plans to include half a day of riding. We set out on four bikes at 11am (FZ1, FJR, 650R &...
My wife and I installed a new exhaust on her Ninja 650R this past weekend. They are IXIL twin cans made in Spain. Cost her a boat load of money, but they were the ones she really wanted. Very well made system. A bit on the heavy sid at 10 lbs inclduing the mid pipe and mounting plate, but...
I nearly lost my life in a motorcycle wreck back in 2005. I recently put together this video to share a bit of the experience with friends and family.
The footage is a bit fuzzy, but the video is still pretty cool. I am not sure if its my camera mount or my camera. I used an FZ28 18x zoom...
Day 01 - Salem OH to Columbus OH - 160 miles, 3 hours. Stayed overnight at friends (Yam Roadstar).
Day 02 - Columbus OH through Kentucky to Chattanooga TN - 470 miles, 11 hours (we stopped a lot, lengthy breakfast & traffic congestion on I-71). A third friend road his full dress Harley from...
My wife just got her Ninja 650R back from being painted. She had it done in Arctic Pearl White (sparkles in the sunlight). She left the frame the factory candy maroon color and had custom graphics put on the bike to match the frame. I think it looks great. What do you guys think?
Im taking the FZ1 on a week long trip in just a few days. I didnt have time to get a nice power jack and properly splice it into the wiring harness but I am desperate for a method to charge my cell phone during the trip.
Would it be possible for me to attach a power jack by wiring directly...
Finally blocked the AIS hose, removed the EXUP cables, installed the MIVV GP slip-on, switched the rider footpeg pads to FZ6 pads and I fitted the FJR passenger pegs.
Disconnecting the AIS electrical connector was an absolute pain in the a$$. Under the airbox there is a crossbar welded to...
How hard or easy is it to access the AIS hose to put a marble into it? Will I have to remove the gas tank? I'm after the quickest method to blocking the AIS with the least amount of work. I might eventually remove the entire AIS set up, but for now I just want a quick fix. Thanks!
