    Pyro's Twisted Texas Tour '12

Interesting....I am on the "other forum" and we are planning our 2nd annual THC gathering that same weekend. The date is firm, and I am waiting for the lodging location to firm up to make reservations. Last year, we were at the D"Rose in Leakey, but last I checked, we are looking into Camp...

Do you guys know of a surveillance system for hit and runs? My 2nd case in 3 months!!

If this was recent, you might be able to ask neighboring businesses for security footage which could have caught them from other angles. What city are you in? We'll have a Texas rally and fan out and search the whole town for them!:cowboy:

    completely new

I agree with all of the constructive statements made. MSF, Gear, look ahead, etc. I did want to mention that with the accidental twist of a wrist you can get this bike over 70 in first gear before you know what happened to you. My advice to add is practice emergency stopping!

Boss brings new motorcycle to work

It looks like both his feet stayed on the footboards? You can't see his right foot, but I am not seeing any other reason for falling down like that!

    Dealing with tolls

All of the toll roads i n North Texas have gone boothless. You either get a toll tag or have your picture taken and they send you a bill. You do pay more for this service. Don't be late on that bill either or you will pay big for the late charges. A harley guy taught me a little trick for...

    Should I buy a 2002 FZ1?

Welcome G-man. I am a Gen 1 owner myself, also have a 2003 SeaDoo GTX Limited! What a great machine. Anyway, The word on the streets is the Gen 1 is generally more comfortable. I have not ridden a 2, but had the opportunity to sit on two of them side by side at a dealer, and they seemed...

    Pyro's Twisted Texas Tour '11

Sweet. The loop was a blast, but 377 going East out of Leakey to Vanderpool was my favorite road to ride. West is probably the best scenery though. Watch out on 336 coming towards Leakey. About 10 miles or less out, there is a sharp right high in the hills that has a bunch of gravel in it...

    Pyro's Twisted Texas Tour '11

I spent last weekend riding those roads with another group and had a blast! I wish I could go this weekend too, but I have to take care of all the stuff I didn't do last weekend. We stayed at the D'Rose cabins, and loved it there. Food reviews, Leaky Feedlot is ok, but slooooowwwwww. They do...

    wheel replacement

Bullie, where are you? There are a couple of places in the states that offer wheel straightening. Do a google search and check the results. If I remember right, you are looking at around $165.00 plus shipping. I bought a used replacement front wheel a few months back from the other forum...

Its not about how fast you go but how fast you get to how fast you go!

    What Limits Your Top Speed?

Several things. First and foremost is the yellow stripe down my back. This is a factor of many different potential equations, including but not limited to: the popo, fear of the pavement condition, stray animals, stupid drivers, and any other surprises that may come my way! I have hit 135...

They found the guy who owns the bike and talked to him. No visible injuries and he is not admitting to having ridden the bike that night...

Just ordered GIVI E450 from sporttour

I have the same Givi as Gixxer, and purchased a tall Rifle screen. I have been riding with a crappy old HJC helmet, and find the wind is hitting me in mid helmet, instead of under the helmet where my old ZG screen was directing the air. Hopefully this will take away some of the bobble head...

    Custom Motorcycle Dolly

That is very cool. I currently have a manuever that I use where I back the bike in close to where I par it, and then pick up the back of the bike using the grabrails, and move the back end into position. From there, I have about a foot of back and forth room to manuever the front end up close...

    2002 FZ1 Back Tire Size

Name and address of this shop please? I am currently either going to the dealer at 820 and 10 or to Cyclewerkz at 30 and Las Vegas trail. Both are about 30 minutes or more for me to drive to, while Haltom City is 15 minutes.

What did you do to your FZ today?

I received and installed a Givi monolock case with a Shad rack to put it on. Dang this thing sits high on the back of the bike! Got a Throttlemeister last week, a Rifle tall windscreen on the way, and have a new front wheen and tire being put together at the shop. Why? Because I stripped a...

    Rotor Bolt

I have actually done the same thing before, except I wound up loosening the bolt with an impact driver. I honestly just really don't feel like taking the time right now or I would have done it again. Oh well, I am taking them the new bearings also since everything I read indicates they are a...
