Hello and welcome to the forum, When my Fz1 was still new the only thing I change or add was a slider and some aesthetic stuff, after some time changed my oem pipe with a slip on and aftermarket drop in filter. What is important is to break in properly and change the fluids regularly.

I agree that perfectly normal to have a such tight spot, but it should only be in one spot or else you have to replace the whole chain, by the way inspect also the front sprocket as safety precaution. Teeth should not be sharp or missing.

Well adjusting the a/f knob are almost the same with other carb engines, but with with fz1, it has a 4 throttle carb, that means you are adjusting 4 carb not only one. You will also need a carb synchronize to balance all 4 carb.

You should always check your tire pressure to be safe. It would also be a good idea if you can inflate your tires with nitrogen.

I don't lube my cable at all, coz it has its own lube/grease that can last for a long time. Its almost maintenance free.
