I bought a set of long levers from Fire Dragon Bros when they were still on eBay. When I decided to get a set of shorties Fire Dragon Bros were no longer around. I bought a set from the2wheels and couldn't tell a manufacturing difference between the two, they look like they came out of the same...
Let's say I'm crusing along and I come up on some traffic. I don't downshift so the engine is lugging in a higher gear than I would normally have it in for the speed I'm going. I'm behind them for a while when an unexpected small gap opens up and I've got a chance to safely pass, but I don't...
Man Down Detection App for Android
Here's a pretty neat idea for a motorcycle safety app. It uses your Androids accelerometer to detect if you've been in an accident.
CRADAR
CRADAR is a man-down application that runs on any Android phone.
CRADAR senses when you fall, waits 30-120...
For 2003-2005 it's a M8 X 1.25 - 12mm screw. 2001 and 2002 ran a different size screw, not sure of the size. If you have a 2003-2005 you could swipe a bolt that mounts the left side passenger peg bracket to the frame, it's a little long but it will fit and has the same kind of flange as the...
Dropping the bike sucks! I did a slow speed drop last spring, I was in a hurry to get the bike turned around on the side of the hill that is our driveway and went just a little too far. Thankfully all I did was take a chunk of paint out of the case guard. Seeing that nick reminds me to take my...

Same place on a Gen I
The VIN is stamped into the steering neck of the frame. Wasn't aware the frame had a different number than the VIN :confused0024: but then I never needed to know what it was.
I was referring to sickle's install when I said you've got to want it bad enough :) I took the easy way out and just drilled some holes.
I've still got ugly wiriing in that piece of wire loom. I intend to redo the setup this winter to make it a little prettier but it will never look factory...
No doubt, I upgraded to the Symtec controller when I bought my Oxford Heaterz because it was such a slick setup. Unfortunately it wouldn't fit on the MC so I had to use it as a stand alone on the risers of my Convertibars, still slick but not as stock looking as I'd hoped for...
If you're talking about the Symtec controller I can tell you it can't replace the front of the master cylinder mount on a Gen I as the stock mount bolts are offset from each other.
I have a cracked instrument cluster that came off of a wrecked Gen I, gave a try at pulling the speedo needle off it. Pulled straight up on the needle with my fingers and the glue bond between the black plastic piece (you can see it looking through the side of the gauge) and the needle failed...
