Use the idle drop technique to tune the pilot screw, yes check spring rate. if i were u id give the ivans way a shot, make sure you adjust your float height too. If you still have the heat issues just buy a set of springs, their cheap.
That can also mean your Throttle Position Sensor has an issue or is becoming unplugged. The TPS sensor uses the tach to tell you where to set the TPS. Dont quote me but i believe when the tach says 3,000 the angle is two small, when it points to 7,000 theres to much angle, and when it points to...
Your neutral switch is bad, the bike thinks its in gear all of the time, also since the sidestand up or down makes no difference id say its bad or has been tampered with.
Try pulling your filter off again. Sometimes the seal from your old filter will stay on the engine, then you screw on a new filter that already has a seal on it causing an oil leak. So basically just check to see if you have two seals stacked. If you havnt thrown your old filter away yet just...
3 options. Move the cable to the side and zip tie it, move radiator slightly lower by messing with the radiator brackets, or take a file and make a perfect little grove for the cable to rest in there is no coolant there, its kind of like a pinch weld on a car.
Thanks YZF, that chain and sprocket have over 9,000 miles on them! Haha it took some time!! The Black bike was a V6 on a modified Harley frame, saw at least 2 Boss Hoss's lol I had a few more pictures but they wouldn't work for some reason.
Haha sorry for the delay, been in Daytona. Like I thought The triumph was in need of some tlc.... That being said the only time I saw the thing was while we were in first gear. After that she was just a headlight flicker in my mirror.
Getting it on camera is unlikely, sorry guys!! Going down around midnight or one and neither of us have a go-pro. Ill make sure to get lots of pic's and video from Daytona this weekend for everyone.
Haha sorry about the 40 comment, nothing intended(I'm 23). I practice the launch a few times a week, not to mention I love wheelies I've spent a decent amount of time on that rear wheel lol so I'm feeling pretty confident. I just hope my friend doesn't mess up his bike or himself!!
They guy is like 40 and has been a harley rider his whole life. (Hence the attitude) Riding skills not so great.. I do Agree tho these two bikes are a close match. Don't forget I've removed about 40 Pounds from my FZ I'd say the bikes are only +-5 lbs from each-other. Im no pro but Im definitely...
My Buddy has been blowing smoke up my A$$ for the past few days about how his bike will blow mine out of the water and how i should grow up sell my bike and buy one like his!!!! My FZ has Ivan's jet kit, custom exhaust(Single baffle completely free flowing). Removed center stand, removed AIS...
Supposedly the gasket change alone will increase compression by.5 Stock=11.4:1
One gasket=11.9:1
If anyone could give me some measurements I could tell you.
Has anyone had experience swapping from stock head gasket to the R1 head gasket? Here's the real question, does the fz1 and the r1 use the same gasket? I know the fz uses two and the r1 has only one, which for packaging reasons may explain the part # difference. Has anyone measured the two??
