Nuetral Light INOP?

Hello Guys, new to the forum along with a new to me 04 FZ1 in great shape!
The only question I have is that the nuetral light is not working? I swapped bulbs in the INST panel, I also noticed that it can only start with the clutch in, and the side stand switch will not kill the bike if down and in gear? Where would be the logical place to start? Is there a fuse for the cutt off circuit?

I dont know about the light but I would bet someone bypassed the neutral switch. I did it on my Ducati because it had some stupid starting quirk. I dont even remember what it was anymore.
 
Your neutral switch is bad, the bike thinks its in gear all of the time, also since the sidestand up or down makes no difference id say its bad or has been tampered with.
