to me it looks like a machine, and has a raw allure, you see the parts. Not as common a bike as say a gixxer or cbr, which also adds to the mystique of owning one.

Sport bikes are good at what they do...usually, and not much else.
the fz suits me cause im 43 and dont want to require wrist and back sugery.
dont get me wrong, i like sportbikes. Just not being in the saddle of one for more than 2 hours at a time.

ive the grey 08 bought used for 7500 canadian, low miles and new skins.
only mods so far are frame sliders and a dc hookup with mount in the upper cowl for the gps, an alarm, lower fairing, and the tail eliminator of course...

the 21st was my bday, worked a half day and went for a nice spin...this morning flurries almost made me cry as the dredful truth slaps me in the face....need to find a place to store her though.
mileage is fair, but then again it costs 140 to fill the tak on my truck with regular, and under 20 with premium on the bike.
the bike is by far much more enjoyable.
if you do tour, look at an aftermarket seat though...i can go 3 hours or so on the stock one, but after that tie a pillow to...
