Problem with Speedo and temp readings

Hey guys Been having a prob with the temp reading/sensor lately. Sometimes when I hit the starter, the temp reading jumps from Lo to Hi immediately, with the amber engine lights lit up. And the bike cranks but doesn't start. Another one is that, the speedo went wonky the other day...

    Best screen for Yamaha FZ1S

I've seen the CD Speedscreen 2 and it looks tits. Just wondering, I have a Brembo 19x20 MC, and it has the reservoir on a mount that's higher than the stock reservoir. At full left lock, I wonder if the reservoir will hit the SS2. It appears to sweep pretty far back. Comments anyone?

    Laminar Lip "Ears"?

They're pretty common on some touring/adventure bikes like the BMW GS, BMW K1200LT. I've even seen these on the Yamaha Super Tenere. They're more of windguards to stop the wind from buffeting your shoulders. Reduces fatigue over long distances.

    Pod Mod - Lights!

Gentlemen, may I recommend a white/amber switchback pod light mod. I did it to my bike. Basically the set comes with a pair of white/amber T10 LED (same as the stock one in your headlamps) and a control module which has 3 inputs and 2 outputs. Take a look over here: exLED 2Color(2Way)...

    Gen 2: Front tyre deformities

Not England, but a Commonwealth country. And yes, we do drive on the left side of the road. You may have a good point there. The roads do have a bit of camber for drainage. I've thought of that myself. The strange thing is that my previous 04 'R1 and 2002 FZS600 didn't suffer from this issue...

    Gen 2: Front tyre deformities

I've tried rebalancing the forks. Took it to the mechanics to change it to heavier fork oils and got it balanced out, so to say. Nothing much changed. Any other ideas on what could be happening? Anyone else with the same probs?

    Gen 2: Front tyre deformities

Anyone ever noticed that the right side of your front tyre tends to cup after a few thousand miles? Happened to me on five sets of tyres already 2 sets of Pilot Power 2CTs Bridgestone BT-016s Pilot Road 2 and now my Pilot Road 3 is starting to show some signs of added wear on the right...

    Motorcycle Accident VS Automobiles?

Bikes are definitely more dangerous, period. But I don't want to live my life wondering "what if" or "why didn't I". I don't want to hide under my sheets in bed worrying abt the sky falling on my head. Life itself is risky. But it's that risk that makes life worth living. Just manage your...

    Michelin Pilot Road 3

Mounted a pair of PR3s just a week or so back. 190/55 rears. So far so good. Feels more planted than the PR2s that I swapped out. Almost into PP 2CT territory. Pegs can be grounded without worry or drama.

Ride It (rideitmoto.com) Levers - Review

Well, the reason I went with the chrome/black was because the black adjusters are just little bits. If they faded, it would matter much. Compared with red levers and black adjusters (or the reverse), fading of the red or black parts would be noticeable. I really wanted those Black/Reds...

    RIDE IT levers/grips

FDB Pazzo knockoff shorties for me too. They feel meatier than the stock levers. But I passed on the black/red anodized combo. Thing about anodized parts is that they fade after a few months, and especially for levers which gets frictional contact with your hands/gloves... they're gonna fade...

Ride It (rideitmoto.com) Levers - Review

I got those China-made FDB type short levers too. I was initially interested in the black ones with the red adjusters. But after talking to some folks, they told me that those parts being anodized would begin to fade after a few months. And I kinda agreed. I have Bridgeport red anodized...

    Looking for brighter bulbs

I've been mulling over HIDs too, but it seems that putting them on will probably cause glare for everyone else in front of me. I do want a really white light though. Something in the order of 5000K. Are the Philips Crystal Vision Ultra bulbs bright?
