Billy that hugger looks really nice and will go well with the bike! Sucks about the headers and I can totally see what you're talking about. You were very generous in giving them $100. I would have given them $50 at most! At least most of it is coated...

I know T, I was just really tired of dealing with those morons. As with anything, you live and learn. I'll never be back so good riddens to them. I had a feeling that the owner wouldn't be there. (How did I know that). I'm glad he wasn't because had it been him and he didn't accept what I was offering, there would have been some trouble over there. I'm glad I got them home. Tomorrow I'll it them in front of the heater in the garage and let them heat up real good and then lightly spray them with super light coats of the header paint until it matches. The header paint looks exactly the same when dry and it's only about 4 inches on one side of each tube. The backside is fine. The hugger is insanely nice! I'm super stoked over that piece.
I hear what you're saying. Sometimes you just need to cut your loses and move on. I wouldn't really have felt comfortable leaving the headers there again.
And just and FYI I have used high-temp flat black BBQ paint to touch up the pipe where it connects to the muffler and it has held up and matched the ceramic coating perfectly. I know that right by where the pipe attaches to the head gets much hotter so not sure how well it would work there, but you already have that header paint.
Billy that hugger is sick! Sorry about the powder coating...
Billy i like that floor in the pics. is your place old? It dont look like the new style wood floor the angle and the boards running with the walls looks great. now back to the bike.
Billy that hugger is killer piece of art. Almost ready to rock, bet you cant wait to roll out on that bad boy.
Damn Billy! Well at least the high temp paint will work as a permanent fix but they've got big nuts to present you with a shabby job after such a long wait.
The redeeming factor is that hugger... :cloud9: :woot: :wow:
Enjoy the build tomorrow and keep us posted! I hope the assembly is SMOOTH!!! :cheerleader:
