Hey, I am new to the world of FZ1 ownership. A friend of mine had a 2001 that I enjoyed riding years ago. This one popped up on a local classified ad site a while back and never sold, so I was able to get a good deal on it.

It is a 2002 with a Holeshot slip-on and Dyno Jet kit, according to the previous owner.

Here is the latest addition to my stable.





3 areas I want to address on my new ride.

1. A speedo recalibrator.
2. The seat has a tear in the cover that I want to fix or replace the seat all together.
3. The mirrors, I don't know if they are stock or not but I would like some that are a little less imposing, if there is such a thing without losing functionality.

I'm sure the guys will point you in the right direction on mirror options , for me the stock ones work well on my gen 2 so the looks don't bother me

There are bar end mirrors for the minimalist look, but I think those are the stock mirrors.

Welcome and congrats on the GenI. It brings back memories of my first FZ1. Same color but 2001. It was such an awesome bike. Best of luck with yours!

Welcome and nice bike. Stick with the stock mirrors for a while before you decide to change them, they do work very well in traffic when you need to keep an eye on what is behind you.

Great ride! Love my 01. Love the bar-end mirrors on mine but some people can't see well enough with them...
