Hi there I think I started this post a year or two ago,my advice to you is get a proper head gasket made, mine run really well, chewed up and spat a belt out every few thousand mile which isn't a real problem, but sorry news is head gasket taking in air on a long ride and dumping water out the...
part 2
I had a few teething problem with the set up from the tts super charger kit.
I had belt slip issue which made power unreliable which ment I had to run the belt over tight to try and keep power up and consistent which made fuel issues and wore the pully bearing.
doh.
but I think we...
Hi there sorry for delay lots of other things going on and a bit of delay on the fz really,
tryed the intercooler on the dyno and it was not thick enough to make good flow , bit gutted really it looked so good on there, ran up alot better with out lol or cry, starting set up had major running...
Yes that did cross my mind lol it was only doing 80 odd miles to a full tank if you was out for a hard run before the work, can only run it on 99 octane now as well.
I was hoping for 200-220 odd , I wanted a supercharger for the smooth usable power with no lag and did not want to touch pistons and rods ect which I might have to think about if I have more power.
so im after reliability but something that will keep things interesting, I thought about making...
If im going to do it might as well get all I can out of it, I think it might be 10 ish got to get that cooler on there to, im sure they will make it fitt.
Just thought I would show a few pictures of the start of the conversion , I love fz1 , the low and mid power should very smooth and usable ,half of the kit fits the r1 so thats a help .
the intercooler might be a bit awkard to fit on front , big square thing,so they hopfully make a nice curved...
Its at tts performance near silverstone uk as we speak they have just done the head and clutch springs and made the charger housing I will put a post on very soon
should be fun.
they have pictures on there web site of it.few weeks it should be finished.
I was hoping for similar gains from the holeshots but it was not to be, and I think ivan is your man for fz1 testing going back now , I should have brought a branded more test item, never mind.
not going to spend on another set of pipes now,not worth it after fitting the charger.
I would have gone the yosh but as I said, you have to use there tail pipe and I had all ready spent 400 on the tail can I liked , never mind , if know one shows the dyno sheets how are you ment to know, on this set up now its runs crisp and pulls like a train.
I would have gone yosh helped along by ivan, but I think you have to use there tail can , I wanted to use one that fitted the stanndard collar, lost interest now becuse as far as I can see yamaha seemed to do a fare job on the stanndard down pipe, going for guaranteed power now its tts blower...
Me and my mate performanceave fz1s 06 and 07 both identical mod.
mods are pc5, plus pc 5 ignition module and quick shifter. Feul cut eliminator.ivan throttle plates.graves stacks.lars air box mod and filter. Decat.plus on mine holeshot down pipes hoping for that little edge lol.

im 11 stone and my fz1 is putting 146 out if i gas it hard in the first 2-3 gears over cats eyes, choppy uneven surface, lets say over take i get a bit of head shake cats eyes, but my m8 has same fz1 and is a big boy no jokes here ,does not really get head shake ,but his bike is near stanndard,hes...
i love these screens they make the bike look so sporty i have a black long one ,one of the best looking stlye modds for the fz1 worth every penny.i dont mind the mirrors my self need to know whos behind you at speed ,the alien look nice.
if u get them up to 150hp odd i think yes in the first 2-3 gears pinned flat out cats eyes ,country roads, uneven road to be rock steady and give full confidance i would not be with out one ,ordered a black gpr.sprint was cheaper it worked ok but is in the wrong place so now i have to pay...
