Best looking 1st gen paint by a long shot. It would be a shame to change it.
My vote is to wet sand and buff what you have, that would take care of the overspray and small imperfections.
#2 is to pay the extra money to get the stock decals and paint it stock.
Before I had my Shoei, at highway speeds I had some complaints.
The main complaint I have about the phone portion is that the ringing isn't quite loud enough and sometimes I hear someone talking to me when I'm riding.
Still startles me...
03 Gen1 forks. 18,000km on them. Bike was down, but no damage. Verified with straight edge. Just pulled them off to install R1 front end. Right fork will need seal.

I like it for being on call with work. Used to have to take the truck, This headset has auto answer, and voice dialing. I usually pull over anyway, but I can receive the call, and finish the conversation without pulling off my helmet.
Phone function still works when synced with...
Only difference I found was less vibes in the mid range, and slightly better fuel economy.
That may only be because I used to like to get out of that pesky buzzy mid range into the nice smooth top end :evillaugh:
