I found the start of it: gen1 FZ1 shock swaps - Carolina Riders & Riders of the Carolinas Forums I think the rest of it must have been on one of the FZ forums. he did a spring swap on it i believe too.

I don't remember which forum it was on, but I've seen a BMW shock swapped onto a Gen I FZ1 as well, and I think it was pretty straight forward. may have been on the carolina riders forum.

As an FYI on the fit, back to back w/ my RF1000, the 1100 fits very close. M to M, but it is a little tighter. Granted my 1000 is past being broke in, but my nose was tighter to the chinguard on the 1100 than on the 1000. The L was just a little too loose on the top of my head :( Thanks for...
