Yes, you need the R1 front axle, and the bolt that secures it in place. Yes, with 04-06 R1 calipers you can reuse your FZ1 wheel and disc. BTW I would highly recommend installing an R1 master cylinder and steel braided brake lines while you're in there. Change the fork oil, too.

You can't use the FZ1 brake calipers, no. That's part of the point of this upgrade: radially mounted brakes vs the FZ1's conventionally mounted brakes. Maybe you were thinking of the brake rotors. Thanks. That's not bad at all. I called T-Rex and they will sell you replacement pucks. Sounds like they don't get many requests, though. Perhaps because they want $15 per puck plus shipping... might as well just buy a new kit. If you've got more pics of your bike with the sliders installed...

I was talking about the Motovation fork sliders for the R1. I'd imagine the FZ1 parts could be made to fit the R1 forks, though. Is the stock front axle hollow?
