Pyro's Twisted Texas Tour '12

New Map has been posted. It's corrected for the directions (last version was not set up right and the points were out of order.)

Late breakfast in Wimberly (or lunch) Monday before heading back to Tomball via more twisties!

:D:D

This is actually going to work out well. I have the MS150 the following weekend and will be tapering down on training anyway. I am really sick of riding that road bicycle anyway!

Slight change of plans for me. I am not going to NM after all. I actually have to be in Dallas that Monday evening for a business dinner and then meetings on Tuesday. So.... I will be breaking off from the group Monday and heading straight up 35 to Dallas.

Business first! Well, you could go N on 281 to Hico. Go 6 East a few meters and then take N 220 (aka cr199) and get on 67 all the way to south Dallas (I-20). That is much better than I-35, on a bike. If you wanted to. Not sure how much difference in time. Hell, it may save you time since going up 35 can be backed up sometimes! There are a couple small town stops, but it is ok. It is one of my alternate routes.

Glad you get to stay with us one more day
Once you get out of Austin - that is a quick little trip. I was surprised at how fast I made if from San Marcos to Dallas. Piece of cake

As long as I'm riding I'm happy!

2 weeks to go!!!
I'm really getting excited. Picked up a pair of Corbin Beetle Bags for the trip. I need to sand them and paint them to match my Skunk paint scheme. I will probably put some Bondo-Glass fiberglass reinforced filler in there somewhere just to make sure they are sealed up and water tight since I'm sanding fiberglass.
