Pulsing like you wouldnt believe. Just swapped back to the 07-08 R1 rotors. Man I am pissed. I don't even care about it really, as these R1 ones are fine but now I have a rear wave rotor and it looks terrible all on its own. I guess I will go back to stock in the rear also maybe I dunno.

I just emailed the dude on ebay to see what we can do.

Sounds like their quality control is a bit hit and miss.

He got back to me. He said they bent in shipping, it happens from time to time. Which I do believe as the box looks like a 500lbs man sat on it, but I didnt see how it would matter as they were just rotors.

He is sending me out a new set. So I will give those a shot. They really are nice, the quality is there I honestly do think they could have been bent in shipping.. Too many people have good things to say about them.

I you believe some fat-ass postal workers sat on them and bent them then you probably think your government isn't corrupt?. As stated, cheap Chinese sh*t = you get what you pay for. Why would a dealer send another pair of rotors and take the $$$ hit if he wasn't getting them made for next to nothing, there is no way on this earth i would trust my life riding with those rotors!!!.

The reality is that no matter where it's made, cheap is cheap. I'm a pretty cheap guy but cheapo eBay rotors are not where I'd be skimping either.

I have seen my fair share of cheap, stylish rotors come apart at 4-wheel trackdays & slalom events and that's enough reason for me to stick with OEM rotors only.

Add to the fact that a great deal of motorcyclists have some issue with knowing how to use the front brakes and you are left wondering...

Just remember the only load placed on these rotors is the brakes. There is no load of the vehicle on these like in a car with integrated lug nut stems.

There is a guy named "RavenRider" on the "Other FZ1" forum. He seems to be very respected as a fast rider, runs his stuff hard from what I hear and he loves them. Along with a lot of other R1 guys on the R1-Forum.

As far as mileage, I do not fit into that category. Coming up on 5000 miles already and I personally think I will see 15,000 by the end of this year.

He is sending me another set of rotors, and wants me to send these ones back. We shall see. I am going to give them a try, if these other ones come not bent then I will run them. I fail to see how these things being made overseas are going to just explode when I touch the brake lever. If there is another problem, I will most likely run the 07-08 R1 OEM rotors I am running now, or get some Galfers. However, Galfers have issues too from what I have been reading, no one is perfect in this world.

Hell, the bike is made over seas.

I did not say that is how they bent, I am just saying that is what the box looked like. I do see your point, but once again I do not see how it can be a problem assuming the new set is straight. But hey, your entitled to your own opinion and that's fine. Don't ride on them if you dont like them, just dont come in here talking shit when you have no first hand experience with them.

As far as my government, that kinda stuff doesn't need to even be in this thread. Don't need no wars going on in here.

Thats the point in having these threads silly is to discuss these products and how they perform. Now, from previous threads about these sh*t rotors it has become the concensus that these rotors are crap, so why would i buy a pair silly?. Furthermore, you seem to think you and you "build" is unique & new and the world shall here about how important it is?, please buddy give it a rest it seems you spend more time talking about about your bike than riding. Maybe your all the gear and no idea?. LoL

Honestly I don't see my build as unique or special. I couldn't care less who reads it, I just post up for the hell of it. I see no wrong doing with that. As far as not using the bike, that's a joke. My truck barely ever moves anymore I just daily drive the FZ1. However I really don't have to explain myself to you and it does not matter to me how you feel.

About the rotors, once again if you don't like them that's fine. I am going to try them and that's it.

I think this thread is great entertainment and it's fun to see a bike go from factory stock to someone's realization of what the bike should look like!

This is where we differ. 5000 miles in 9 months is not exactly a lot of riding and I think that's what people are getting at. The reality is, it's up to you how much or how little riding you do because it's your bike and your life. Motorcycling is all about doing what makes you happy and if riding a few hundred miles a month makes you happy; who cares about the naysayers?

However, you can prove them wrong by taking a big epic trip down south and giving us lots of great photos and stories!

Well I wasn't able to ride for three months during the winter due to new england weather, but right now I'm doing around 4-500 miles a week on it now that the season is starting. And yeah, ive got some trips planned one of them being Deals Gap in September and a few runs to Pennsylvania over the summer to see friends. Needless to say im stoked.

And yeah for me the bike is starting to be exactly what I wanted out of it.

builder, stop pissing on this thread. The rotors have had favorable reviews all around mostly. Only thing is that you need to get them from sellers that have proven to sell the good ones. RavenRider, brad, abe from FZ1OA have been using these for a lot of miles without issues.

I know of many people who have run china rotors with no problem.With enuff production on anything you are gonna get bad stuff be it stereo's,cars,appliances whatever.I will probably go with the Yana shiki rotors when I buy.Make sure you let me know when you're coming to Pa. Geno so we can put some more miles on that bike!!

Papa Geno... let me know what you think of those Brembo pads... I had a set that I ended up pulling off after about 4k ... they were great when they were brand new, but the more miles I put on them, the worse they got.. to a point where I really didn't feel safe with them... when I took them off, they looked brand new, but they were cracked all over the pad surface...

I'm hoping that I just got a bad set, and that this doesn't happen to you... but.. for me, I went to EBC HH pads... and I'm happy as a clam with those..

Well, you never know until someone buys something and reports back, right? Someone has got to be first. And, we all know that no matter the product, there's always a lemon or two to squeak through production and QA. The next set will be the telling factor but I hope Geno gets a better quality set. Regardless of where they came from, they LOOK cool!

I love the Galfer sintered pads very much the same feel as the EBC. I think a lot of people go with a track orientated pad not realizing the amount of heat that they need to be effective.
