MrsFZ1inNH Build Thread - ***REVEALED!*** Vid and Pics!

That looks awesome. Congratulations on a couple of beautiful bikes, I think the new paint on the Mrs FZ1 came out great. It will be interesting to see if you get to keep your nice seat or not. This has been a fun thread to follow, enjoy and stay safe.

More pics..... :D

Last set of pics!

Here's the last of the chosen ones... The color is a 1997 Toyota color called Mystic Purple Mica Pearl but she changed it up by taking out the violet pearl and putting in gold pearl. I think she made a great choice!!! Hope you've all enjoyed the anticipation as much as we have. Thanks for viewing!!!

And finally, her maiden voyage on the bike... a slow spin around the cul de sacs that we live in. :D

That came out AMAZING!

My girl is going to cream all over the place when she sees this post. I have to show her, she loves purple.

Man... That really came out great!

Thank you to everyone for the comments on my bike. I could not be happier with how it came out. Hopefully many of you will be able to see it up close on a nice sunny day. The pictures and videos just don't quite do it justice. It is a beautiful color. I have to say thank you to my wonderful husband for taking so much time to get my bike done. I am VERY happy with it. Now I just want to see some nice weather so we can go ride!!!

And, while I was building her bike... ;) Go to Youtube and set to 1080p first!

Wow that came out great Eric! Michelle congrats on such a unique FZ1. I doubt you'll come across another one that same color ;)

On a side note...Eric I see that the frame sliders that I recommended worked out well.

I know you're both itching to ride now. Hopefully the weather turns for the better soon for you up in NH :)

Thanks all! Thanks Tony! Yes, the sliders were Tony's idea. It is two sets of R1 sliders but I used the deep offset and longer bobbins from each kit.

Now, I have to also mention that while the full fairings are very nice looking, well, anyone who says they love them either did not install them themselves OR they are sadists! That was SUCH a pain in the arse! I hope I never have to remove them! I know I will have to pop the bottom to change the oil but hopefully never the whole thing. WOW! We're looking to go on a journey to MA tomorrow. Norm got home this evening from Florida and will be at his house tomorrow. :D

Yes, those full fairings are definitely a PITA to install/remove, especially the little black rivet type clips securing the sides to the center section! I made sure to change the oil before I installed them :D

Thankfully, Norm had just changed the oil before I picked up the bike and there were no miles put on it after it arrived. ;)

I still have to put on her cramp buster, RAM mount, zip tie some stuff to the fork legs and I'm going to remove the exhaust caps from my stock exhaust and get them blacked out, then swap her caps off and paint those to put on my stock can. If the Two Bros gives out, I'll have the stock cannon to load all blacked out.

Last, I want to take my stock pillion brackets and pegs and get them powdered to match the frame and mount them on her bike. I only now wish we'd had her hugger painted to match the bike too!!!
