Current mileage 47,049. I am probably the 3rd or 4th owner.

The person I bought if from got it at about 16,000 miles
and kept detailed records. I have kept track of gas mileage,
oil changes, and chain lube. I do not dislike riding the bike,
but I have other bikes I ride more.

That would be a question to post on the SV650 owner's forum-SV650.org. All I can say is the 650 has a reputation for being bullet-proof and is a favorite track day bike, rather than a bike that would be taken coast-to-coast (not to say that couldn't or hasn't been done). As with any used bike, maintenance records are the key things to look at.
