Definitely not me, Yoshi on the first bike Graves on the current bike, I like the sound of the Yoshi better but you can't beat the way the Graves looks
Since time immemorial guys kneejerk action is to automatically ditch the stock pipe for something that will 'unleash all the power in the engine', which usually means they have fallen for the 'louder means faster' phenomenon. I've seen too many bikes that have ill fitting, ill adjusted after market exhausts that make the bike run and sound like crap. And I'll bet there are more than a few FZ1's here with aftermarket exhausts that don't run as well as a stock engine. But everybody can do what they want. I ride with earplugs and the stock unit is fine for me, the sound is in line with what the bike is and when sailing around the curves at 70mph I have no issues with it. The engine runs fine, I get no whacky error codes, no stumbling issues, and you don't get the stinkeye while riding through town. The stock unit may be a little on the large side, but not extreme, it certainly doesn't intrude on my right foot while riding. I replaced the front guard and rear tip with a carbon fiber units which dresses it up a bit, and I got rid of the passenger pegs/hanger because I don't ever ride with a passenger. That alone cleans up the bike.. A stock FZ1 has more than enough power for me.
I will say though I chuckled at OldBiker's HD comment cause just yesterday I rode after work to the local Rite Aid to pick up my "old guy" pills
Lmao aww how cute going to pick up your viagra on your FZ1!
On a serious note, I took the baffle out of my Micron and love it... It's stupid loud over 5k but I wear ear plugs anyways. But I'm respectful with how I ride it in neighborhoods and whatnot.
