    Thunderace in the house!

Been there - done that! Hi Keith - it's Keith from TWT. Joyce and I made it out to one of your rides when I had the 01 ZRX (Purple/Black). Sold that one and bought an 05 ZRX (pristine - under 5k miles - green), then lost my freaking mind and sold that one too. After the fever set back in I...

    Thunderace in the house!

Wow! It's been a bit hasn't it! Unfortunately, life got in the way of the project. Yes - I still have the bike, but nothing (and I do mean nothing) has been done to the bike since the last post I made over two years ago. At the time I purchased the ThunderAce we were in the process of moving to...

    Happy Birthday Billy AKA "YZFRiderNY!!"

Well, the Ace is still in the "barn" waiting for me to have time to work on it. To tell the truth - it's actually in the storage building. I'm working on the final design for the real "barn" now and hope to get it started - and finished - by mid 2014. We've had an insane 2013 and we're praying...

    Happy Birthday Billy AKA "YZFRiderNY!!"

A bit late, but better late than never... Happy Birthday to my fellow ThunderAce rider! Sorry for the late acknowledgement, but we've been super busy. We sold the house in Katy and moved to the farm in Yoakum. We be farmers now! And retired farmers at that...

    How old are you?

Piker! :jk: By the time I was your age I had owned 6 bikes - then I picked up the pace. Since then I've added 12 additional bikes to my "once owned" list (still have 4). Had two of those ZRX's too! An 01 in good condition and an '05 in absolute pristine condition. Never could get comfortable...

    Vacation is over...

My grand-daughter and daughter were there last week as well. Wish I could have gone...

Post your lady with her bike

Not too bad. Depends on how low you need to go. Joyce is 5'4" on a "tall" day (at best). We added the Kawasaki -1" saddle, custom ordered a Hagon shock, then lowered the front end to match. We had to take an inch out of the kickstand, but we really needed to go an inch and a half. The stock...

Post your lady with her bike

The "better" half on her 2006 Kawasaki Mean Streak... I dislike cruisers, but she loved this one. Rode it for several years before switching to a Kawasaki Ninja 650R. This shot was taken by me and then photoshoped with backgrounds and such for a calendar project. Unfortunately, the...

Anyone ever own a Hayabusa or CBR1000RR?

I'm 56 now. Bought the 'Busa in 2007 at the ripe old age of 51. It was the 10th bike I had owned at the time. I started riding at 15 on a 1972 Suzuki TC90.

Anyone ever own a Hayabusa or CBR1000RR?

I rode a 'Busa for several years. It was - without a doubt - the most awesome bike I have ever owned. It was comfortable, fast, and quick. It was also the ONLY bike I ever did a 600 mile day on. I miss it a lot. Sold it because I needed cash for another project and regret I did so. I bought...

    YZF Winter Spruce Up 2012

Well, at least you're getting to "play" with yours. Mine is in the garage all safe and sound, but I'm out of pocket for the next 6 weeks. The only saddle time I'm getting is on a tractor. Then again, the tractor is turbocharged! :evillaugh:

    Back to ATX!!!

I have absolutely no idea what you said - but if it works for you... Rock on with your bad self! :cowboy:

    Thank You MSF

Glad it worked for you! Funny thing is, those of us with dirt bike experience tend to do that naturally. I've always felt a "proper grounding" on dirt was the best training for the street! Especially if you start on dirt at an early age and then move to the street...

Not to rip Hail off, but...

My two cents... STAY AWAY! As an ex-Porsche owner I can say with 100% certainty that they are VERY expensive to maintain. I eventually got to the point that I was afraid to drive mine for fear something else would go wrong. My last Porsche was a 1986 944 Turbo with ONLY 63k miles on it when I...

What epic ride do you have planned for 2013?

We're retiring from the "big city" and moving to our farm this year - so there are endless projects to complete. As such - ANY ride is going to be epic! I'll consider myself lucky if I get to ride down the block!

    outstanding customer service, a note

Poor customer service always amazes me. For the cost of a set of production gloves, Held USA has lost a customer for life and pissed off a dealer - unbelievable! I've been both a customer service manager AND a business manager, and frankly - if one of "my" customer service representatives had...

    Thunderace in the house!

Good News! Just received an e-mail from AJ Sutton (UK Supplier for the Euro parts) and they say the order for the last two graphics shipped this morning. So - looks like I've got the last of the "missing" decals on their way! These are the "Aero Super Sport" decals that go on the rear tail...

Happy New Year! We have a multitude of changes planned for 2013 and I'm looking forward to getting started. Should be a fun ride!

    Thunderace in the house!

Just got back from doing some site work at the vineyard and found a package on the counter from "down under". My Ausi connection came through and I now have BOTH side panel "fade" decal sets. Plus - when the wife got home she had a USPS notice that my UK order had shipped Royal Mail (which...
