A well a full install must change the bike, as for the springs & eventually the preload pistons I reckon that it would transform the stock forks to a whole new level. Since I'm using the bike on the road it's more than I need.

SS Brake lines are a great upgrade, and if you feel your bike is not braking hard enough I would reccomend a Nissin 19x21 Radial brake Cylinder, the same one that the R1 and other racing bikes are equipped with, don't bother with the brembo as the price is way higher and you don't gain anything...

Soon I will change the oil in the forks as Yamaha raccomends having it changed every 5 years, so my question is did anyone change the stock springs with the Ohlins ones? Any feedback would be appreciated positive or negative, since the price of the set is around 130 Euros / 150$...

I saw a few weeks back on the UK ebay a yellow cowl new for some 75 GBP don't know if it's still selling. As for the flyscreen try on ebay also lots of aftermarket screens givi, puig ect...can be found for a reasonable price.
with all mods and a full tank i make around 230km ~ 143 miles....extra urban driving....before the last line starts flashing...from what i calculate an approx 7l/100km would be the consumption.

As far as I know it you are the first one to encounter that kind of problem. I installed the SS brake lines and the rear light was working fine without any problems. Maybe the contacs on the switch under the brake lever are damaged....
