    New project 1980 CB900 Custom

I am going to pickup a nice CB900C tomorrow with only 42k on the clock. It hasn't run since 2008, so I'll have some carb fun first. The thing has dual range aux gear box. I even down loaded the shop manual PDF for free last night. I'm really looking forward to riding it.

    R1 Master cylinder upgrade

I installed an 06 R1 m/c on my gen1. Bleeding the brakes is easier, since it has a bleed port at the top of the system. I like the feel that I get now and it didn't cost much. The hardest part was fabricating the reservoir bracket. I think that it looks more racy too. What do you think?

Rear brake hose inspection Gen 1

Today while adjusting my dog bones, I noticed that the rear brake hose was touching the rear wheel rim. The hose was mis-positioned and had started to chafe the hose. I loosened the fitting and reposition the hose. My bike may not be the only one with this issue, so gen 1 owners should check...

    Throttle tube modification

I always felt that the stock throttle was a little sensitive off of idle for touring. I did a little research and found cam style throttle tube replacements for $60 or more. Being handy in the shop and cheap, I decided to make my own. Here is a comparison picture of stock and a modded tubes. It...

    Suzuki GSXR 1000 slipon

Hi, I recently grafted a Suzuki exhaust on to my FZ1 for a unique look. It has a more husky sound then the stock exhaust, but is still fairly quiet. The super small mid pipe adapter and rear set hanger mod was easy. The performance is excellent. Dave
