Jlo has the skills, no question.
Problem is, the Yam has to be pointed into the corners with both wheels in line... The Honda can be thrown around at will if the riders has the cajones, which MM does. He will always dive bomb his way into the lead it's just a matter of picking a spot.
Italian you say? Sounds sexy, or is the word Bellisimo? Yeah Ok, I'm sold... just one more "trick" bit for the Fizz'. Man, I though my 2003 Z1000 was a mod-junkies nightmare (or dream), but this bike is even surpassing my previous notions of how far one might take it. Time to go one more step...
Any recommendations on a particular brand of valve stem to go with? I am sure this is it... between lunch and these evening it has dropped about 2 lbs.
I actually have one of those caps on at the moment.
I will see about a new valve stem all together I guess, see if that is the fix. Maybe those trick angled jobs are a good choice. What do you suggest on F/R tire pressures? I have been shooting for 39/40 F/R but it isn't easy getting a feel...
I seem to have to fill the front tire on my bike a lot. I first noticed this with the stock tires, the worst is when I rode to work one day and it went completely flat along the way.. no nails or other issues.
Now I have completely different tires, and it still seems like I have to check them...
That's pretty much where I'm at right now with my '08. Light cruising at lower speeds, all highway and I get about 40mpg. I'm not going to really bother trying to get better than this. It's a 1000cc semi-naked bike, I'll go buy a KLR or DRZ if the day that max mpg becomes my quest. But not one...
Yeah I would be interested to know. My bike is perhaps a bit smoother with it in, set as it is at the moment, but I know that compared to the PC3/5 I'm never going to get the max out of the FI.
Ah yes, the Fizzer gremlins attack! there was a thread on the other site, try googling "damn surging continues.." and you should find a lengthy thread on this. I occasionally get a little of this problem. These bikes are very well engineered but if anything, I mean anything is even slightly off...
I agree... although the XR1200 or V-Rod are two I would consider.
So Blazeman, did that old Springer give you the WTF?! look, or did it sort of slowly lower it's headlight as if to say " I know".... :(
You will have many more good times on the FZ I believe :smokin2:
Got Shinko? J/k. I used to love ripping a burn out once in a while, just for the hell of it. Not so much anymore but there was a time.
OT... I see you are using the Dobeck EFI controller. Mind if I ask where you have the settings? I have one (found it for 50 bucks so I threw it in) and was...
It's been about 20 years since I rode a two-stroke 125, but I remember what fun little bikes they are. You can ride 'em all day long- just gotta' keep that clutch / throttle / gearbox moving like crazy and they move rather nicely. I like them more than the 4 strokes, I know the performance is...
I don't have the have the Arrow header, but I really noticed that when going to a full system it got rid of the "Jeckyll & Hide" characteristic this bike has... basically that feeling of being on a 600 until you hit the high rpms then it goes into "liter-bike mode"... having the nice bump in the...
I've never felt the PR2's give me a feeling that was unsettling... if anything they are slower to react than the Pilots, but grip has been good. I have run at Deals Gap very hard with them and they were good, no complaints. The side rubber is just as sticky, you can hammer it on a liter bike...
