Miles a day on LONG trip???

The most I have done in a day is 1300km, just stopping for food and fuel. Even with the TS seat and rizoma bars and risers it was a pain in the ass ! Normally do around the 500-600 km just fine. Where I live it is 500km to the nearest big city and 1300 to Sydney. Have had many different bikes...

    Riding in Rain?

Well mate stop spending on bling, put some in to making her go and 2 and 3rd gear spin is just a lean and twist away. Seriously though I have ridden bikes since I was 5 now 44. Raced dirt and road for many years, have done more race schools and ride days, advanced schools etc than I care to...

    Riding in Rain?

Mate I live miles away from anywhere ! Rain equals fun. I do agree with not pushing it in light showers or at the first sign of a good rain but once that road has cleaned itself of all the crap it is not as dangerous as some people will lead you to believe ! I love riding in the rain and yes I...

    Riding in Rain?

Well I suggest to get your body position right, upper body well inside, head out to mirror and low to keep the bike more upright through the turns. Then let her rip, back wheel steer that girl through the corners and never ever chop that throttle coming out !! When you get good at this in the wet...

    PC3 Map for no flies?

All bikes are different, fuels are different. This map makes my bike rock, over 150 at the wheel and over 100 at 6000 rpm. Very close to 12.5 AFR from idle to red line.

    Speedometer Rort

Yes the thing is that the ADR regulations still state that the speedo must be within +or- 10%, now lets say your speedo is - 10% then at you are doing 110 Kph in a 100Kph zone and receive a hefty fine !! If you take it to court as I have done you will LOOSE !! after nearly $8000 in legal fees I...

    The 11 of the 11 2011

Me I was cutting the floor out of a CAT scraper with the carbon ark, we all stopped for 1 min silence though. I made sure of it having lost family in all the shity wars since WWI. What really pissed me off was the few young apprentices who had NO idea WTF I was talking about !! Made sure they...

    Bandit 1250 to FZ1S

Touring on a Gen II is not only possible but surprisingly good!! I have done many 1200km days with no more problems than any other bike. Your bum tends to get sore after 10 hours in the saddle no matter what. As for fuel economy I can now get 265km on a very full tank sitting on 120-130 kmh...

    manual chain tensioner

Manual chain tensioners are great for replacing OEM if they are crap, the FZ has a very good tensioner so I would not go that way. They have to be torqued correctly or you will cause damage, I have seen the results on MX bikes and it can get expensive ! JMO

Removing the Sub Throttle Plates (flies)

Yeah it does cause a flat spot at 4240-5000rpm, the thing is if your tuner works on getting the AFR @ 12.5 at these revs in all throttle positions it goes away and is replaced with smooth power with great throttle response, minimal induction bark. I can sit at 3000rpm in sixth and crack the...

    Go Cruise Throttle Control Review

Have been using one of these since March, it did slip a little and mine did not come with the silicone tube. I super glued some of the ripple parts of a zip tie to the Go Cruise and it holds good and firm, What I like is the price and being able to take off the bike. Very good value
