I looked at the 1090R when I was shopping for an upgrade to my FZ6R. Very, very cool bike. I'm sure your wife will have a blast on it. In the end, the reliability of the FZ1 and the easy conversion to a bada$$ looking naked bike won me over. It also helps that my local Yamaha dealer treat me very well. Heading over to the dealership after work tonight to put the finishing touches on my bike. Hopefully riding by the weekend.
Yes Wifey's ride is a 750 as listed above. The 675 Brutale hasn'tbeen released yet. Still waiting for F3 to arrive in this country to take a look.
If you can only have one bike the MV probably is not the right choice since you'll find youself sitting in the garage admiring it and cleaning every little bug off just as much as you ride it. Not to mention when thetime comes for a part you will not have it in three days like a Yamaha. That's probably the whole point for my wife prior to riding it. After getting on it you get a different perspective about the thing's place in the world. It is more emotional for her than lap times or spec sheets.
