Progression of Lunacy....a pictorial documentary and random discussion

been kind of hoarding the last few months....but then I've been rather busy with updating the interior of the house.....

I got to go for a 20 miles spin today....fired right up after I replaced the battery--need to adjust the EXUP valve....but wait....have a remedy for that...
 
Hey! You've been holding out on us man!!! Hoarding?! Thats more than hoarding! What a pile of toys you got there. Is that a fresh bank of carbs?
Were they jetted yet? And who's exhaust did you pick up? Let's go! Spill your guts!
 
it usually does not for me....BUT -- when bike buried during construction and no garage space.....it just happened that way....

I found somethings and forgot about others....so it was a great belated x-mas for me!
 
Adam looks like you got a lot of "goodies" there. At the moment I too have a bunch of stuff to put back on the YZF1000, but it's just too damn cold to be working on it. However, come Spring I'll be posting some pictures of my work in progress also ;)

it is a second set -- fresh to me with 8k, or so, on them.

originally was too chicken on screwing up the originals since I've never really taken on anything like this. BUT, with some forum help, was walked through and now it is just a matter of yanking/installing/syncing -- and hope for the best....
 
Guess I'm trying to consolidate into one item that can serve multiple functions.

Well, well, well......everybody is having soo much fun doing there own makeover threads....Billy, Eric, and even some fantastic naked builds. I thought I would resume, being that I have obtained the final missing pieces.

Have removed front end for service of forks/upgrade springs from Traxxion. Alas, the old checkbook cannot afford the AK-20 upgrade I sooooooo lust after. But, I'll be happy with what I CAN afford.

some of the same list from last year -- but pulling tank to go to work on the carbs/airbox/boots as well as removing everything else to paint the frame black. Maybe swingarm, but have to clear out some items to be able to setup my temporary spray booth.....

Just picked up a tremendous score from the "retho" place that will allow me all new covers to try and fix the Clearcoat on the CF

More will come, but going down to finish all the disassembly and picture taking so I'll be able to put it all back. but for now....

anyone have a recommendation for the radiator to make it black (without having to replace?)

Would a light coat of high temp paint be sufficient to allow air flow yet make the silver disappear?
