Need advice for a West Coast trip

I will make this my trip thread as well. Two more work days to go then one day to finish packing and checking the bike over. I'm ready.

Forecast looks fantastic all week long in all the cities I'm going to. I think I will take my full sport boots rather than my touring boots.

I'm not bothering to pack rain gear so if it rains, it rains. Doesn't bother me anyway

I bought another rear to put on for when I get back. $89 for a rear is hard to beat, may as well enjoy it

Oh boy, getting close. Dustin and I will be meeting in Lee Vining after his swing through Yosemite. We will ride back to our Ponderosa where my wonderful wife will have a good home cooked meal for our traveling friend. On Saturday I will ride part way to Oregon with him via some great twisty roads in our parts.

PS Dustin. Long term forecast has chance of thunderstorms for Sat.16th. in the high country. It's only water, eh?
 
I am working on the 12/13th and just burned up a lot of good will taking some training time, so I won't see you on the coast. Wave to the east when you get south of Florence, and I'll wave back from Creswell!!
 
Wow Dustin, you will be hitting the road at O dark thirty tomorrow!!!! Weather looks clear and toasty except along the coast. Happy trails, see you Friday on the other side of Yosemite.

I just took the FZ out today for a boot since I likely won't be touching it for a couple weeks. I think it knew; it didn't want to start at first. :wtf:

so jealous of your trip dustin! i hope you enjoy the oregon coast and have a great trip! maybe once the kiddo is older i can be just like you and go for week long moto trips?
