My first off

@Michele ... you deserve this threadjack ... just visualize in your mind the enormous satisfaction you will get by punching me in the shoulder!

You can't lie to me, I can hear that giggle and see that grin on your face right now!

Good luck you guys! Very cool to have a wife ride with you. Great job on getting the bike patched up and ready to go... Just more motivation for her to get better... Physical therapy worked great for me once my shoulder was healed enough... She seeing an Orthopedic specialist?

I saw the Orthopedist this past Thursday, 8/19. He downgraded me from a 1st degree AC separation to a 2nd degree. I start physical therapy next week for two weeks. Doc said if it gets worse, or at least not significantly better after those two weeks I have to have an MRI to make sure there isn't any rotator cuff injury as well. It's not healing as quickly as I had hoped. I am truly missing my riding time. :frown:

I can't lie, my friend, I am giggling....ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!

@Eric

I am planning to fly up next spring to visit family and friends.

Been 4 years since I saw my grandkids which sucks cause all I get is two weeks vacation a year with this job. Wife has been up several times to see them already.

Most of my vacation time in the past few years has been dedicated to home repairs and I try to reserve at least 5 days to ride the mountains which as you all know is quality time off.

Are you going to be able to come see us? Hell, we'll come see you if we have to. Do you know when in the spring? I can't take any time off between 1/1/12 and 3/1/12. Unless I'm in a different job by then.....yeah.....that'll happen.

Hey Mich ...

Trade that bike in for a SV650 gurley bike! <evil grin> <presenting right shoulder for typical Michele salutation>

Sorry Joe, but that ain't happening. :D I love my bike and I am missing my riding therapy. Stuff happens, and as soon as I'm healed and have clearance from the doc I'll be back on the bike. I'm just hoping it is before this riding season is over. :frown: I'll be taking advantage of that "right shoulder salutation" next time I see you. :th_smiley_rotfl2[1]

MrsFZ1- Hope PT works and goes well...Looks like MrFZ1 is taking good care of you. I've been there and there now... I'm off work also from an on-duty crash and can't wait to ride!... Keep us updated when you can.

She had her first PT today. Riding is over for her this year. :( She's not a happy camper right now. I'm going to have to swap and use her bike once in a while or winterize it early but I'd rather run it once in a while. Maybe I will raise the link and stand so it fits me for the time being and alternate them for commuting.

I'm just as unhappy too. I've lost my riding partner for this year. I thoroughly enjoy riding with her and chatting on the Scala headsets for a whole day. Even if she tells me to go ride, I feel guilty, almost like I should not because she simply cannot. I might go out Labor Day weekend. She's going to have an old friend up for the weekend and that would give them a lot of time alone to re-bond and catch up from all the years gone by.

She'll be back for next year. I'll do my best to make sure she gets all the help she needs while recovering. I have to watch her though because she often will do things she really shouldn't be doing! :spank2: :nono: :scared0016:

That sucks to hear bud. Especially since the great riding weather is just around the corner now. I guess it's all for the best though. Besides, time passes so friggin' fast nowadays, it will be Spring 2012 in no time flat.

Sucks Eric!! Can't she at least ride pillion with ya??

Thanks. She's NOT a good passenger. She can lean her own bike when she is in control but on the back? When she doesn't have control, she feels the opposite and leans the other direction. Besides, she'd only be able to hold on tightly with one arm. :(

I might be able to get her to go on a couple slow rides... ;)

True! We were really hoping to come down in Sept and ride with you and Tony in the Catskills and surrounding areas.... Maybe in the spring? You know you two are always welcomed here in NH too. ;)

We'll focus on making her ride-ready for the spring. She'll be benching 200 lbs by March 1st. :D

Well hopefully she makes a full recovery and is good to go next Spring. As Billy said the nice riding weather is just around the corner and the Catskills would have been a nice ride. We can plan something for next year.
