Hurricane SANDY

Just raining very hard here in south eastern Pennsylvania right now, we expect the winds to hit later this afternoon. I flooded during Irene last year, so I will be in standby with my generator and multiple pumps. Hopeing for the best.

Well, woke up this morning and I still thankfully have power. I tried to drive to work but to no avail. Trees down on every block and roads closed to emergency vehicles only. Three blocks away there is no power. It looks like a war zone here. I can't remember it ever being this bad. I know that Johnny had some trees down, demolishing a shed. I hope that all my east coast people fared well through this crappy storm. If your safe and sound this morning please post up here so we know.

One of our comms centers at NY Hudson street is still without power and as I've been told access is limited only under police escort. Our staff there need to return to refuel the dieselgen...

My boss is based in 88 Parkway Drive South Hauppauge NY 11788 but have not heard from him since last night. Not sure if comms (mobile-internet) is still down in that area?

Long Island (Hauppauge) is probably still without power this morning. My nephew lives two towns over from there and doesn't have light. It may take a couple of days before power gets returned.

Guess I'm gonna have some roofing to do this Saturday. Gotta keep the YZF dry this winter.

Lost the shingles right down to the sheathing boards.

We also lost part of our tree out front. This was before the storm even made landfall!

All in all it wasn't too bad. It could have been worse.

I hope Johnny did not have a bike in that shed.

We were spared from the wrath of sandy as far as the flooding we have a lot of trees down and power out I was told maybe by Monday we will have power good thing I have a good generator....

We got lucky no trees fell on our house, we have no power as expected I'm hearing it will be a week or more until its back, until then we will keep running the generator. my neighbor got really lucky with a tree that just missed his house, still waiting to hear on the damage from my uncles house in ocean city, I heard his part of town is destroyed. Glad everyone is ok so far, hopefully you all get power soon if you dont have it yet
