The only aftermarket clutch rebuild kits you can get with new frictions, steels, and springs are Kevlar which can't be used with full synthetic oil. You can't seem to get new steels with cork or carbon fiber kits.
WTH are they are thinking making Kevlar the only full kits available when everyone is running full synthetic oil these days?

I noticed that too when I was looking at replacing my clutch, I have no answers as to why, but I had a very similar thought process as you do. Seems dumb, but I can't see why you can't use full synthetic with Kevlar. All oil is partial synthetic anyways...

I had no idea that you couldn't run full synthetic with a rebuild kit. That's reason enough to buy OEM, isn't it?

No because I don't get jack for discount on OEM. Like 5% when I get anywhere between 20-30% on aftermarket. Lol

It's just Kevlar you can't run full synthetic with.

Looks like OEM part (1CA-W001G-00-00) lists for $191 and Partzilla has it for $121, saving almost 37%.

Good luck,
