    Zero Gravity Windscreen Questions

One thing about the ZG double bubble screen, when you mount it on the bike the edge of the top fairing makes contact on the screen, along the edge towards the center from the mounting screws. When the screen sits for a while it rubs against the fairing and leaves a mark on both the screen and...

    Zero Gravity Windscreen Questions

I have the same screen as NJFZ1, but clear instead of dark smoke (there's a light smoke too and also other colors). I like it more than the stock screen, it takes away more wind and it's less turbulent flow than stock, it works at all speeds.

Yet another reason to change to dual SS brake lines...

:retard: No it does not. Come on, the pressure is applied with your fingers for crying out loud. Uneven pad wear is caused by sticky caliper pistons.

    Footpeg Rubbers?

I swapped sides on the washers under the rearsets mount bolts, and then I swapped the rubbers for FZ6 type. Fixed.

    Crated Hon NR750/ RC30

For me the RC30 is much more desirable than the NR750, probably for it's racing heritage, but I guess you have to be an old fart to appreciate this in the first place. I took the pics from a Swedish discussion forum, the younger dudes there don't understand the hype, they think the latest R1 is...

    Other Bike Talk

XJR1300 is a naked bike with a lot more torque than the FZ1, do you think it will be easier to hang on to that? :rmwl:

    First ride today

These conditions are rare, it has to freeze before the snow comes, usually that's only a few weeks in nov-dec. But when you have perfect ice, the wind in your back, sometimes the water is so clear you can see the bottom of the lake rushing past, it's almost unreal. The poles are used pretty much...

    First ride today

The bike season for me is around 7 months. Up north they play with their snowmobiles, but here down south the winters are often not decent enough to have prolonged periods with cold and snow. Except this winter, it has been quite extraordinary, and I like it like that. I like ice-fishing and...

    First ride today

Yeah I guess it's ok to rev it higher on occasion. I try to ride on smaller roads now so it's lots of accelleration and decelleration. The lake you see in the background is still covered in ice and it will be like that for perhaps another month. I was out fishing on that lake just two weeks ago...

    First ride today

First ride of the year and first ride on the -08 FZ1. Still pretty cold, 10degC, and lots of gravel still on the roads, but it was a nice ride. Keeping the revs under 6000rpm of course. Only diff from the -06 is that the snatchy throttle response is gone. The new Rizoma fatbar felt perfect.

FZ1 Riders Show us your baby!!

No, you have to drill the holes. It takes some time to line up everything to position the holes, 3 of them. I think it's OK to brake the tabs on the switch housings, but I wouldn't do that on the throttle housing, it's a safety issue.

What kind of bikes do you ride with?

I ride mostly alone, or in a small group with people who all know each other. I used to live in Stockholm and there they had these get togethers organized from an internet discussion forum. We decided on a place and time and anyone could show up, usually 20 to 40 bikes, mostly sportbikes and...
