That doesn't sound right. On my '06, when F-trip pops up, it always starts at zero. It should reset to zero after you gas up the bike. Good luck getting to the bottom of it.
After ten years of ownership, I have decided to move on. I am keeping my Gen II but selling my Gen I. I bought it from the original owner with less than 8K miles on it and have put over 30K on it with no problems. I will not stop riding it, weather permitting.
Maintenance records included...
I have owned one of these Kamui's since last fall. I bought it from the individual at MR Cycles in Asheville, NC, before he became the general sales manager for the brand at WPS. I like the hi-viz color, the quick release chin strap, the internal sun visor, and the overall fit. I dislike the...
That would be a question to post on the SV650 owner's forum-SV650.org. All I can say is the 650 has a reputation for being bullet-proof and is a favorite track day bike, rather than a bike that would be taken coast-to-coast (not to say that couldn't or hasn't been done). As with any used bike...
FWIW the first thing I have done when there's a check engine light on my car or truck is to remove the negative battery cable and leave it dis-connected over night. Sometimes the light has not come back on. Another thought-have you double-checked to make sure the EXUP motor didn't somehow get...
Sold (on the other forum)
I have tried many windshields on both my Gen 1 and Gen 2, and I keep going back to short, small windshields. Guess I'll just take my Concours C10 to ride in colder weather. Rather than have this windshield sit in the garage and collect dust, perhaps someone...
For sale: 2006 Yamaha FZ1, silver, $4500. 34,443 miles. If I ride it more, I may change my mind about selling it...
I got the bike about 2 years ago, as a trade for another bike I owned. I was curious about the '2nd Gen' since I also have a 2001 1st Gen FZ1. After riding both bikes I...
I have now tried both Corbin and Sargent seats on my 2001, and while both are firm and slippery (with either jeans or textile riding pants), the Corbin just fits me better. The person I bought this from said it had never been installed on his bike, and I see no evidence to dispute that. I have...
THE SEAT IS SOLD.
This is not a standard Gen I Dirt Road seat. It has a couple of modifications per my request. The first is I wanted the passenger section to look like a cowl for a solo seat look such as a Corbin Gunfighter saddle. There is padding there for a passenger however. It took...
I have the 14" oval on my '06 and the 13" tri oval on my '01. They both look and sound great with the dB-killers installed (guess my age is showing.) Save a little money by buying directly from Delkevic USA.
