So when my 01 FZ1 warms up, I feel and hear a little chatter around the 3k RPM mark. I can also feel it when I touch the carbs, as thats where it sounds like its coming from. ..So when I pull in the clutch, and rev the throttle a bit, the chain moves. The clutch is adjusted properly, and the RPMs dont change a bit when im in neutral vs clutch in 1st. Its almost like the bike wants to lunge forward, and theres a little click sound. Almost like its the chain moving...

So my 2001 FZ1 has 22k miles. Hasnt had valves adjusted. All of a sudden yesterday, I noticed a tick. Now it happens at 2500 fairly loudy, and mostly upon engine deceleration. I noticed the carb boots are worn and dry cracked, but I dont think that would cause this tick? It def. sounds more...
