Is this how you feel about motorcycling?

I love my FZ1 but if a used CBR250 came across my path at a decent price I would be all over it. I live in a city and sometimes the fizzy is just a bit much for cobblestone streets and stop and go traffic. I am not really keen on stepthroughs so this would be a nice addition. It ain't all...

    Go big or go home

I put a single plug in it yesterday while still at work and as of this morning it was holding firm. I am going to ride around town commuting until the tire goes back on sale. I don't trust it outside the city limits. Worth the $200 for peace of mind while far from home or pushing my personal...

    Go big or go home

Picked up this little doozy up somewhere on I95 while out for a lunchtime ride. I don't remember feeling I hit something but came out from work to a thoroughly deflated rear tire. Wasn't sure if a plug would hold the short ride home, but it did.

    Wannabe's Fuel to Fun Run

The End The final stop before home was Roanoke, VA. We were in no hurry and took the Blue Ridge Parkway for most of the trip from one valley to the next. Me muggin' for the camera Oh, just riding around on mountain tops My mother saw this picture and asked where were the guardrails. Ha...

    Wannabe's Fuel to Fun Run

The Middle After staying a night on the coast, we headed to my cousins house in North Augusta, SC just across the river from that big golf tournament. My uncle and his wife live with my cousin and he was an usher during the Masters. My father, aunt and uncle. Can you save me money on my...

    Wannabe's Fuel to Fun Run

The Beginning Yet another trip has concluded and the slow realization that I have work tomorrow morning is a creeping thought. Thank you to everyone who commented on this thread. My father and I always have a good time when we go out on these adventures and I am truly lucky to share this...

    Male to Female SRS

After almost 2k miles on the FZ1 it was almost like my nuts weren't there. Down with the haters. Do what you want.

Thanks everyone, My trip is mostly over now, but here are two teaser pics until I get home to my computer. Spent some time at the Wheels through Time Museum in Maggie Valley. Dale is an awesome dude. Here is my father crossing the Lincove Viaduct east of Asheville on the Blue Ridge...

    Wannabe's Fuel to Fun Run

It wouldn't be a trip with my dad if some important bit of planning wasn't overlooked. Our last planned stop on our itinerary was the http://wheelsthroughtime.com/ vintage motorcycle museum in Maggie Valley. I've ridden through Maggie Valley before but never stopped. Supposedly Jay Leno...

    Luggage

I'm currently 6 days into a roughly ten day trip and I have the Blaze saddlebags. I stuffed these bags to gills while using the expansion but was able to carry everything I needed without a tank/tail bag. If you don't mind hitting a laundromat, these are great bags for longer trips as well as...

    Wannabe's Fuel to Fun Run

Almost every year since I started riding, which hasn't been that long, my father and I take at least one ride/vacation together. This is my first extended trip on the FZ1. Last year, I rode my father's '85 V65. Past trips have included trips from the Northeast to Texas and Key West. This year we...

    DIY Tire changes

Some sweet homemade contraptions! Taking it a level further than I anticipated! I don't currently have a garage so making my own tools is difficult. Has anybody bought the Harbor Freight balancer, or another brand?

    DIY Tire changes

I really like working on my bike and hate paying shop rates for routine maintenance like oil changes, valve checks, and tire changes. I was recently quoted $160 for swapping out the front and rear tires on my Gen II. I know shops need to make a profit, but changing a tire is not so hard to go...

    Recommendations for Covers

I have the SW Motech Blaze bags on my bike and I bought one of those shelters ( no garage ). Works great with or without bags but a little more spendy. Linked below is my review: Review: Speed-Way Motorsports Shelter › Jeffersonian SOBs

Looking for info on heated grips???

Oxford Heaterz I will throw my vote in for the Oxford heated grips. They get really hot when you want them but have four power levels. I got a great price from the TwistedThrottle people when I visited their booth in Daytona. IIRC it was about $80. The mount for the control looks great too...
