Picked up this little doozy up somewhere on I95 while out for a lunchtime ride. I don't remember feeling I hit something but came out from work to a thoroughly deflated rear tire. Wasn't sure if a plug would hold the short ride home, but it did.

Sucks though, I would want a new tire from that one vs a small nail I would trust a plug.

Then again, see how the plug holds out? Maybe it wont be a total loss.

I put a single plug in it yesterday while still at work and as of this morning it was holding firm. I am going to ride around town commuting until the tire goes back on sale. I don't trust it outside the city limits. Worth the $200 for peace of mind while far from home or pushing my personal limits.

The bolt went right through one of the pattern grooves and did not come out easily. I wouldn't be surprised when I get the tire off if there isn't a nice gouge in the rim. Definitely validated me keeping the panniers on the bike at all times with my essentials, first aid kit, tire repair kit, and rain gear.
