Dented tank fixed.
I had a knee dent in the right side of my tank. My good friend Big Ian at my favourite Yamaha Shop here in Auckland suggested I use my house plug plunger on it and yes it popped out with nothing left there. That made my day today.
Been waiting for 3 years now to buy my Yamaha Spoiler in Cobalt blue. Here Yamaha NZ want $850NZ so I've been holding off until my good Aussie friend ballmead put me onto yamabits.co.uk and got it through them for $515NZ. There $459US in the States so $515NZ was a good deal. I fitted it last...
I fitted my new Melotti Racing front brake resevoir cap this week as part of my spring make-over. It matches my other blue anodize parts I've already fitted. I got it from trenditaly.com and cost 22 euro + shipping.
Hi sammysr, just take your muffler off and gut the cat and leave it like that, Im sure at 5k+ rpm will blow everyones eardrums close by and thats free
Hi 2wheelMax,great to see you got your brand new 09 FZ1s. My 07 Fazer was a leftover too when I got it in 09. I payed 75% of retail, hope you got it cheaper. Time for break in and some mods. Looks like you already have a Gel Seat. Happy riding and good luck.:welcome:
Great video, I read in 3 months ago theres a new F1 track being built in Texas. You will also be getting Australian V8 SUPERCARS which are Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore (GM). The drivers are Aussie and Kiwi and will show the Nascar boys how we do it down under. The track has to be about 6...
Dud link.
I think papagenos link was a dud but I see now everyone that put one on there bike got a big scare and are keeping an eye on it. I keep an eye on my link too cause Soupy is right that Aluminium can fail easyer than Steel. The threads on mine are 5/8 UNF which is about the best thread...
Hi Lonerider59, I think theres only been a couple of failers on this product so I would put it back on if you need some lowering. Ive seen 1 or 2 others on the net available like mine.:cowboy:
Hi Missyl1713 and Dustin, I rode 30+ years with back packs, the strapes have worn throuh the shoulders of my jackets but now Im in motorbike heaven with my Givi V46 top box. I use a man bag now and put it in my top box were ever I go but my Fazer dos'nt look as cool as it is without the top box...
Lower Cowl.
Ordered a lower cowl today for my 07 cobalt blue Fazer. Yamaha NZ want $850NZ here so I ordered on line at Commonwealth Powersports Petersburg VA US $459US + shipping. The bottom of the bike looks not finished off without one. There $390US at OC Yamaha but only sell inside the...
Hi Klurejr, I ran 98 here in NZ = 93 in US. I got some preignition on 91 (87US). Yamaha say go up a grade if you get some preignition. I run 91(87) regular in my lawn mower (Briggs & Stratton) but my Fazer loves the higher octane and gives great performance with my mods. 98 here costs $2.25/L NZ...
Hi Woodie, no crossplane, slipper clutch, new styling etc. The Gen 2 is that good after Gen 1s we can go afew more years without much change cause they must know in Japan its a great bike.
East meets West.
Tonight US plays Russia. I knew Rugby was catching on in the States but didn't now Russia had taken on this great game too. I wonder if they have been spying on each other.:chat:
These are Sprint Car suspension Rose Joints. All aluminium and my bike hasn't come home with its tail on the ground like a Soupys lowering link. 1mm longer = 3mm lower.
The Rugby World Cup has kicked off now in NZ. Good luck to all my FZ1 friends teams from around the world. We have 1-2 hundred thousand visiters here and Auckland is pumping! We supported US playing Ireland on 9/11. I here Rugby is big in the States now and getting bigger. Anyone coming from...
Hi Klurejr, I cut down the sides of a 1 litre plastic icecream container and just push it up between the headers and the filter before I undo the filter and this method can stop the oil getting on the headers and into the collector area.:noworries:
