I test rode a Stryker (1300cc) the other day then I rode the Raider (1800cc) for about 35 min each. First off the two bikes are technically not "cruisers" but are more chopper/cruiser. Because of this they ride rough compared to a normal cruiser bags or no bags. Long distance would be hard...

If it is a Yamaha screen and you have warranty they will replace it. They replaced a couple forum members gauges on the fz6r forum from the factory and Yamaha double bubble doing the same thing. I ended up spraying the inside of mine with Plasti-dip.

It is worth noting the FZ6 and the FZ6R are nothing alike. Not one similarity other than gauges and controls. I wouldn't say the power is dull but is linear across the rev range and predictable. It makes a perfect for a do-it-all'er other than off road. Of course with the right suspension...

My issue is that the mounting hardware costs so much $$ and then you have the cases and can quickly add up to $1200. Plus not many people selling theirs lol. Gotta buy one at a time lol When you get set up post pics!!

Good point. The FZ8 was a cheaper alternative upgrade to continuing the FZ6 model as like said it uses FZ1 parts so it's cheaper to manufacture and Yamaha save a considerable amount of $$ in the process. Some Have said the FZ6R was the FZ6 replacement but all in all they are Incomparable. FZ1...
