I've been using a 45 liter GIVI case on my SW Motek rack for about 5 months now and I'm very pleased. The rack is a pain to put on without help though.

How are you able to go that far? Is your bike a gen 1 or 2? Have you changed the jetting or mapping? My stock gen 2 only goes about 150 miles before I'm nervously looking for a gas station.

So I originally posted this when I was breaking it in and now I have over 5000 miles clocked. It's been almost 4 months. As these engines get miles on them, they get a lot smoother. I have the dreaded fairing buzz now so maybe this weekend I'll take the fairing apart and re-weather strip it.

I think I already replied to your post over at thegsresources.com. I have owned both and have settled on a gen 2 FZ1. It's a better sport bike. I think the build quality is a lot higher as well.

I've read that the stock mirrors create a lot of turbulence. I'm so tall that it doesn't matter because I don't have any wind protection anyway, but the people that have switched to bar end mirrors say it makes a huge difference in comfort.
