Going Copperdog!

I've just now listed, for the first time, all that I've done for the bike since I bought her on June 6th, 2009.... The list is growing! It really is an EVIL MAD hole we modders fall into....

  1. Pod light mod
  2. LARS Airbox mod
  3. Descreened OEM air filter
  4. Modded sub-throttle plates
  5. AIS Blockoff
  6. Two Brothers Titanium Slip-on
  7. Cut down stock FE mod
  8. Yamaha OEM lower cowl
  9. Tank Camera Mount
  10. SAE battery lead
  11. Powerlett
  12. JW Radiator Guard
  13. GPR Steering Stabilizer
  14. Tank protector
  15. RAM mount with Aquabox for GPS
  16. 16T front sprocket
  17. Faux Carbon fiber Yamaha decals

Will install this summer:
  1. Copperdog speed screen
  2. Copperdog Strike Seat Cowl
  3. Copperdog 4 piece blinker pods
  4. Evotech Exhaust hanger
  5. Graves FE Kit
  6. Possibly heavy Throttlemeisters

Not bad for a bike she said, shortly after I picked it out.... "You're NOT modding this bike! You'll just sell it and lose all that money!" :o

Hey your item 15, ram mount with aqua box for gps, whats that about, i know what a ram mount is, but the Aqua box, do you have a pic or website i can see one at? Sounds cool.

Same here. Hopefully the fact that the website is down is not bad news for me. lol I already sent in my money! ...in January!

If memory serves me right the screens were about $260 - $270 range...

Seems to me it's more like 350, but I think that includes shipping.

Sure! Here it is. These come in various sizes and keep the electronics waterproof while still allowing the touch screen.

Awesome Brad! Now if I can get him to invoice me. :D

Copperdawg.com is back up. Pricing is $279 - $319 for the screens depending on style and length.

I bought the long, so that must be more. Just checked, with the long, gloss and shipping almost 350.

It's worth the wait, the screen looks great!!! i got blue, gloss, and no cutouts as i have rizoma bar end mirrors(and grips) .I got the short screen,at freeway speed the air flow not more or less but diffrent, but better! My screen took about 7weeks to get looks great.Iwill see if i can get my wife to post pics as i have no chance.Ed

Patrick and I finally sealed the deal so I'm in the queue. It will be a difficult wait for me but I'll fight it and not bother him because I know he's far too busy.

I got the medium scallop screen in gloss with cutouts, the complete blinker pod set and the Strike seat cowl. Time to transform the bike into something never seen around here!

I knew it! When he said like 3/5 weeks, I thought, right, 8 weeks, get it around summer time. No biggie, the yam big screen hasn't done a vib repeat. Might have been just tricky air, which we get a lot of around this area.

Just so you know. I got word last night that my items shipped. So don't be surprised if you have to wait 10 weeks right now. I hope it is sooner. If you are anything like me it is very hard to postpone gratification. Waiting kills me.

He's told me that it is about 4 - 6 weeks at this point but he's also stated that because the weather is cooperating better, he's been able to start playing a little catch-up. When you ordered yours, he was in the rain/cold season and couldn't do any finish work at all so everything just sat waiting. It was a rough winter there. His hopes are to get caught up and when he does, get a shop built where weather will not hinder his progress.

I'm anxious but at the same time, not in a big hurry. So long as I have them and get them installed before Sept and the Deal's Gap meet, I'm satisfied. Lord knows I have enough projects here to occupy my mind for the summer and I somehow have to find riding time in there!

That is good news!

I heard from Patrick last night. He's got the Strike cowl and screen ready to ship (might have shipped today) but we are in discussion about the blinker pods. Seems he finally found the LED lights he wants and has offered me a choice of the standard or LED. The standard sets will be a week or so out because of a backorder on his supplies. The LED, I believe, can be turned around in a day or two but I'm still waiting to hear answers to a few questions regarding the LED package as well as the cost difference. Hope to know more tonight but he answers mail after midnight. :D

More info....

Eric,

Yes the LED's I am using work the same as stock fronts - running
lights that blink brighter for turn signals. Three wire.

They do need a new flasher for the blink rate and I have found a perfect
one that is plug and play and replaces the stock flasher. It works with
any combination of LED and incandescent lights. On my bike, the fronts
are LED and the rear are still standard as yours will be.

Since I'm his first pioneer in the new LED package, I'm getting a great deal for the upgrade. Sorry that I cannot share the pricing that was given to me. We'll have to wait and see what his site posts for pricing on these compared to the standard set.

I did tell him Yes, please send the LED set...

And the great news?!?!

In any case, your screen, cowl, and rear blinkers are on the way, thank you
for your patience and support.

Regards,

Patrick

If you're going to LED's make sure to get an electronic relay as well to replace your stock flasher relay.

Not sure if you've done pod lights, but if so you'll run into my current issue w/ the pod lights and front LED turns causing a load issue. It can be solved by using Magic Blinkerss from CustomLED though as I found out today.

Can't wait to see pictures...
