Official YZF Makeover Thread

Yeah , , , I'm IN !!

Absolutely,,, , I am IN. . . :D

I just picked up a nice 2007 flat utility trailer to convert into a double motorcycle hauler. It has a new floor and a bent coupler. Single axle with 15" tires. It will be my summer project.

I will have some before pics up soon. . . . . :woot:

I love it. . .. . a trailer mod thread . . . . heh,heh Thnx, Billy !! :cheers:

That's right pal! We all do so much to our bikes. It would be nice to have some awesome trailer builds as well! Get some "before" pics up of your new hauler!

sure did thanks billy I pulled all the ramp wood cut new painted and reinstalled .Just needed a coat of paint to protect it for now till I decide exactly what I am gonna do with it.I cant find my trailer build thread anybody know where it went?
 
I removed the License Plate Bracket and brought it upstairs to mark the placement of the holes in order to rivet the rear signals in place. I'll be going through a bunch of bits tomorrow!!!

Yep. I don't trailer too often either, but I do seem to be hauling these motorcycles around more lately especially since retirement.

Anyway, the upcoming renovation will make me a nice, relaxing, summer project. . . . :cowboy:

That's going to look so much better than the ones on there now and to boot you'll have a custom made FE kit :)
 
Okay! I was able to finish the License Plate Bracket with Turn Signals today. My buddy Sal drilled out the mounting holes in the Stainless with no headaches.

Then he found a steel countersink bit and did the best he could do with it on the stainless. I had decided to just go with stainless nuts, bolts, and lockwashers instead of the rivets. This way if they ever need to be removed it's an easy deal.

I bolted everything together and they came out awesome.

This is the finished product. It just needs to be mounted back on the bike.

I may just go down but not on the bike. I don't think I'll have it registered in time. I got my full week's work back and with all these doctor's visits the last 3 weeks, I don't want to push it too far with them. I had a physical two weeks ago, I have a Colonoscopy Prescreen tomorrow. Then the Colonoscopy itself! OUCH!!, and then I was having adominal pains for a month now and they found a Cyst on my right kidney. That's another day on the 24th for the specialist. So all in all, I've been leaving early or coming late too much to push it and ask to leave for 3 hours for the DMV. But you know me, I'm all for hanging out and taking video! Especially now that your in the "Professional Ranks"!
