Looks like a good price. I bought a leftover 2013 in April. In SoCal the price was about $7950 out the door.

I had a blue 2005 Gen1. I now have a blue 2013 Gen2. I like both of them, but I probably prefer the Gen2 a little more because it's a little sportier.

Now I know people that have gone both ways. I have a good friend that just traded his 2008 FJR for a 2009 FZ1.

I've lived in Southern California most of my life, and I have been up north too many times to count. The weather and roads are great for motorcycles. Beyond that, I'm leaving California as soon as I retire.

I can't believe the ratchet straps are that cheap. I'll pick one up this week and give it a try with an old gym bag I have in the garage. If it works I'll buy a new and bigger bag, probably a 60L bag. Thanks for the help.

That's the right size bag ,and a possible option. Are you using a bungee cord or a ratchet type of tie down to keep the bag secured?

Anybody use the Givi XS305 soft luggage? This is the bag I'm thinking about getting. I have a good Tourmaster tank bag, and a small Chase Harper tail bag. I think I want a bigger tail bag for the ride up to Laguna Seca in July for the World Superbike races. Any reviews will be greatly appreciated.
