I've lived in Southern California most of my life, and I have been up north too many times to count. The weather and roads are great for motorcycles. Beyond that, I'm leaving California as soon as I retire.
I can't believe the ratchet straps are that cheap. I'll pick one up this week and give it a try with an old gym bag I have in the garage. If it works I'll buy a new and bigger bag, probably a 60L bag. Thanks for the help.
Anybody use the Givi XS305 soft luggage? This is the bag I'm thinking about getting. I have a good Tourmaster tank bag, and a small Chase Harper tail bag. I think I want a bigger tail bag for the ride up to Laguna Seca in July for the World Superbike races. Any reviews will be greatly appreciated.
In 2006 in purchased a leftover 2005. I don't remember the price, but I remember being happy at the time. The 2005 was a great bike. I sold the 2005 in 2010 to buy a Harley. About ten days ago I sold the Harley and bought a leftover 2013 FZ1 for $8,900 out the door (tax, license, everything)...
I'm glad you weather is getting better. I bought a leftover 2013 last Tuesday. So far I've put about 165 miles on it. Of course in SoCal I don't really have to worry about the weather.
