whats the differance

The FZ1N is the naked model with a different tail and no centre stand. Sold in Europe, Britain, Australia.

The FZ1S is the 3/4 faired version that you only have in the USA. The FZ1N isn't sold in the USA.
 
The N was also sold in Asian and I believe south American markets, Pretty much everywhere but north America.

The S was sold everywhere.

The MT10 (FZ10 in north America) was released when they stopped making the FZ1N, but as yet there is no replacement for the FZ1S (although you can buy the R1S which is a dulled down R1 (I haven't seen one and bet the sales are woeful). You cannow buy a screen for the MT10 which makes it like it's little brother the MT09 Tracer (I don't think the tracer is sold in Nth America either??, just the standard MT09 but sold as the FZ9).
