Tire pressure guage

Finally put a new battery in my digital guage. Checked the tires and whoa front under 26psi and rear under 35. I had used the cheap guage on my inflater and thought well thats way out. Then thought I've got another guage in my car. Cheap little thing but it reads exactly what I put in them with the inflater.

I've had digital guages give bad readings too. The only way I could confirm is to retest with the old standby round dial type. That and develop a feel for appears to be close to right - and recognizing the the digital one was giving what appeared to be an "off" reading.

I finally ponied up the money and bought an analog gauge from Motion Pro. The needle is in an oil and there is a pressure bleed. The thing is spot on.

I had spent about $25 on a KTM faced analog gauge with steel braided hose and pressure release valve.

$92 for a tire pressure gauge?!

The only way to know for sure is either to have it calibrated, or compare to a gauge that is calibrated.
