Time Lapse Commute - Lane Splitting is awesome

Here is a video I put together yesterday of a commute from a typical Rush Hour evening home commute.

34 miles from door to door

Just under an hour on the bike

Would have been an hour n a half or longer in a car.

Also I am very proud of how the music lines up with two different parts of the video near the end.

I thought it was interesting that my work commute is actually shorter than your time lapse video. I couldn't do a commute like that

I cannot afford a home closer to where I work, anywhere from $100 - 300K more expensive for a similar sized home. That is not a joke. We wanted to buy a place 8 years ago and had to move further from San Diego proper to get a more affordable place. In our old neighborhood we looked at a 3 bed-2 bath condo with no garage and two shared walls near the freeway for $330k, we bought a bigger 3 bed, 2 bath home with a pool and 2 car garage for $246k, 30 miles makes a huge difference.
