You've ever ridden?

Could be because it was built so poorly, poorly conceived, too powerful, or dangerously unreliable.

For me it was the BMW K1200S. It's on at least 2 lists of "The 10 Fastest Motorcycles in the World" ranking 4th on those. I didn't know this when I took my friend's for a stroll around the enormous Raytheon parking lot. I had trouble keeping the front wheel on the ground. Just a week or so before that the guy got a hefty speeding ticket on it. He passed a car doing what he thought was only 60 or so and ended up being 90 something. I wouldn't want to be constantly watching my right wrist as I ride. My friend's Hayabusa is second on those 2 lists.

I know it has 3 wheels but..

Honda ATC250R

Fast Scary Tippy and DO NOT put your feet down or you may lose part of your left nut (don't ask how I know this)

My riding pal's '07 R1. He's modded it enought to get 178hp at the wheel. I had a ZX12 that just had a PC and got 172, and that bike weighed 150lbs more. The R1 has no suspension mods. Yes I believe my friend is a moron. But when he asks me if I want to ride the beast I just can't refuse. Of course the stock R1 handles better than an FZ but this thing has too much power. But it sure is fun twisting it's neck.
BTW I can still hand him his ass in the corners on the FZ. It's not the bike!!!!!

I'd have to say the scariest bike I've ever ridden was a GSXR750/1100. This guy Gumo who worked for the dealership had a Gixxer 750 with the 1100 motor in it. He let me take it out for a ride one day while he was jetting another guy's bike across the street from me. That had to be the sickest bike that I had been on in my life. Not to mention that the 1100 motor was "worked" to high heaven. It was almost impossible to get off the clutch at a stop light because of a rough spot at about 2,000 rpms. I'd get the revs up above the bad spot and try and ride the clutch out to get rolling. After that it was a "wheelie fest". He definitely knew his bike and I gladly returned it to him and stuck with my Gixxer750 which was totally stock and enough bike for me.

Its not a streetbike but the scariest bike I have ever ridden was my CRF 450R. Usually didn't scare until I rode it in the woods without the rear brake functioning.

This is a little embarrassing but I had a 2004 Honda Silverwing because my wife was going to drive it also. Well that never happened. Because it was a scooter, your feet were in front of you, I didn't like that very much. The bike would certainly keep up with traffic (600 CC) but I didn't feel very safe on it.

I put about 7000 miles on a 2007 Silver Wing.

I had a Suzuki Volusia for a while... it scared the hell out of me every time I rode it... I would drag frame parts, exhaust, engine cases... whatever.. all over the place...

but... scary fast was a 2004 GSXR 1000 ... that thing was like riding a nuclear powered rocket....

Id have to say that bike would have scared me too! But in a different way, I would have been scared someone I knew would see me on it! lol

I think at one point or another I have found myself a bit scared on ever bike Ive owned. Its not the bikes fault. Its my wrist. I dont know why Im so drawn to power.

I also had a '79 CBX and while it had a hinge or two . . . Unquestionably, it was my brother's hopped up/Denco Kawasaki H2! The powerband might have been 50 rpm wide (OK, that's a 'slight' overstatement . . . but not by much) and it was by far the scariest bike I ever rode . . . try launching it at the strip!!! . .

Good question. At the time the GPz750 Turbo. When boost hit it hit hard on that tube chassis of the day. And probably my '73 Yamaha TX500, what a POS, a bowl of noodles for a frame, wooden brakes, and ribbed Money Ward "Mohawk" tires! Yikes. I was so happy when that bike was stolen.

The scariest for me was a yz 490. I was in high school weighed all of a hundred and a quarter. first bump I hit slide me back I pulled on the throttle as my body slide back I could only see sky ( 3 rd gear mind you) managed to get out of the gas. The force of the front end dropping from the sky caused me to hit the throttle again. This whole process repeated it self across the field me and my friends were at. I somehow made it across leaned it against a tree and walked back.

A BMW R100s 1978/79(thereabouts) that I was interested in buying, up to the point where I discovered on the test ride that it didn't like going around corners. Or even changing line. Very scary, but my ex-wife really wanted me to buy it. Hmmmmmm.
