Tapping into starter/ignition relay

Hi all

I am trying to wire in some accessories and have a relay and distribution block ready to install. I can see the top of the stock relay (the two hot pins) on the left side of the bike, and was hoping to tap in to that circuit for my switched accessories, instead of adding my own relay.

I can't see how to get to the pins at the bottom of the stock relay, does anyone have experience of this?

Alternatively I can put my own relay in, and would use the rear light to trigger my relay - is there something easier I might be missing?

The front running/turn signal lights are easy to splice onto. Left side of the fairing, easy access.

Awesome, thanks - any ideas of color coding to tap the correct wire?

I would have to look but I think it is the red/black + and black -. That's what I spliced my power tap onto to power my GPS (auto plug/cig lighter) and phone (USB).

I'll take a look tonight if I remember.

The service manual says it's blue and red. The front turn signals have 3 wires. Both sides share 2 wires of the same color with the 3rd being different to equate to left and right (brown left and green right). Black is ground, so the remaining is the one you want.
