Hi all,

yesterday i did the Lars Airbox mod and installed a PCV.
Today a made a short testdrive for 5 kilometers and sound of the bike changed enormous.
Is much more deeper and more hmm how can i explain that, it sounds more than a 3 cylinder than a 4 cylinder bike.

Is that normal ?

Best regards,
dan

but one problem i had, didi you use your bmc filter with the black rubber sealing ? i wanted to keep that in, buit then the filter didnt really fited well in de airbox and wobbled around?!

yes, me either , this is definitely a thing of the filter, couse the original filter fits 1000% .

Dont missunterstand me, the BMC also fits, bot only without the black rubber sealing.

Yup, it will growl more, plus having opened up that airspace you'll also hear more engine noise then before.
I have the K&N, but I've never heard of the filter not fitting without the seal.

Hi eurocats ,

But you let it in the aurbox ? Or have you done anything for a better fitting ?

Greetings,
Dan

After i put my air box together i was left with small side gap just about few millimeters.. will take closer look when i lift my tank next time.

Im not sure why your bike sounds like 3 cylinder.. that is strange. If anything you should be happy with the sound- I know my sounds great :D there is no craze difference on low RPM over 6-7 k is different story.

Just make sure filter is facing correct direction and you plug all wires back.
enjoy :stunta]:

The snorkel on the airbox is designed to reduce air intake noise. When it is removed intake noise is dramatically increased. The "three cylinder" sound that you now hear is probably normal . . . .
