This, the FZ1 forum, is the adult hangout where it's all second nature, tried and true and everyone sticks with the facts.

Where does that leave the other fz1 forums? Or is that a can of worms better left unopened?

I'm on a number of different boards, for different purposes. The local bike boards have become nothing more than the extension of the playground. The drama out numbers actual riding at least 10:1.

No one has gotten back to me as of yet. Oh well, I'm sure the pictures that Lytehouse posted about her trip were nice. I'll just take everyone's word for it. I was only joining to see the photos, but it wasn't meant to be.:shaking head:

 I've finally made it. I used a different name, which I didn't want to do, and it finally allowed me in. I guess FZ1riderNY wasn't up to par with them.:shame: Regardless, I have seen the trip pictures posted by Lytehouse and they were well worth the hassle. The "bear" photos as well as the "bison" were magnificent to say the least. Just how close were you to the bears? Wonderful photos from what I can tell was a wonderful trip!

A certain other forum is a place that has been allowed to run wild, unchecked and has a severe lack of management. 80% of the posts there are not related to the FZ1 at all or riding in general. That site is still a wealth of technical knowledge though, even more so for the Gen I owners. I mainly visit there when I need technical information that just isn't here yet. I try hard to stay away from posting much there. You end up with what you feel is a worthy start to a valuable thread and then a bunch of useless drivel from the masses fill it up with utter nonsense that people have to wade through for pages just to get the technical info out of it.

We run a different show here. People start with the drivel and we warn once. After that it is the boot. We won't have a bad apple ruin the whole basket here.

Congrats Billy! Glad you've got an account over there now!

There's actually a lot of great general knowledge over there pertaining to motorcycling in general too. :D A whole lot of good eggs there.... I spent three years on that site and still visit it often.

Glad you finally made it over to the the "other side" to have a look, not only at my pics but other members pics too! And like Eric said, there are some very nice ppl there...after all that's where I got to know him (FZ1inNH) & Pete (Hellgate). And Ozzieboy still visits us over there too!

Oh and the bears....a camera with 10x zoom lens, saw her but didn't dare stop since she had cubs!
