I see that change is mentioned a few times. What are the PROS and CONS of this? Trying to learn.
Thanks!

Any known clearance issues for a stock fz?
I might be wrong but I think the 55 profile is fitted stock to newer bikes.
I believe they are still 190/50 ZR17
I noticed the 5 mph diff between the speedo and GPS in my 100% stock fz1
Up or down?? as 8km/h over here in this nazi state would get you a speeding fine
My stock bike was reading over 8% fast with stock tyre. So if yours is the same, a larger profile will bring it back closer to real speed
No clearance issues. If you do the R1 fork conversion you may have geometry issues, I have installed a PSR adjustable lowering link on the rear to lower it 6mm to get the geometry back to how I like it as I have Ohlins forks designed for the R1 on my bike. With Stock forks there is no issue as they are too tall anyway.
I switched to a 55 and will not go back to a 50 either. I love the way the bike falls into the corners now and I removed the speedoDRD as it is no longer needed. The 55 puts the speedo close enough to actual speed that no correction is needed.
Marvellous, now to wait for those pleasent surprises in the mail............
